Graduate Certificates

Most graduate certificates are comprised of four courses designed to provide specific knowledge and expertise vital to today's changing and complex needs in the work place. In most cases courses may be applied toward a master's degree program.

The courses to complete the certificate must be completed within a five year period with a minimum 3.000 grade point average, and with no more than 3 credits below B. Courses completed for one certificate may not be used for another certificate.

History & Economics

Honors history and economics major Gerrit Boldt landed an internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, working with cities to improve conditions for low-income residents. Now he鈥檚 back on campus as an AmeriCorps volunteer, helping first-generation college students succeed.

There are few teaching assistants, so the professors do most of the teaching, and they鈥檙e excited to engage with students and share their knowledge. It鈥檚 a hallmark of the university.
