Family Programs is excited to offer a variety of events and programs to our River Hawk parents and families.
Join staff from UMass Lowell (UML) Disability Services to learn more about the office and the registration and accommodations process. This session will also discuss how the accommodations process in college differs from what students and families may have experienced in the Kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12) system. Staff will also give tips and recommendations for supporting your student as they transition to UMass Lowell. Hosted on Zoom.
Join this virtual program designed for parents and families of UMass Lowell students. This engaging session offers insight into how the university supports student success, equity, and a strong sense of belonging on campus. Families will hear important updates from the Division of Equity and Inclusion and learn about the resources, initiatives, and campus partnerships dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Join us for the Student Community Expectations and Safety – Parent and Family Session, a virtual program designed to inform parents and families about the university's community standards, safety protocols, and resources that support student well-being. Learn how we foster a respectful, inclusive, and secure campus environment—and how you can support your student’s success and safety.
Campus Living 101, Parent and Family Session is a virtual program designed to introduce families to the essentials of residential life. Learn about day-to-day life in the residence halls, opportunities available to students, and what to expect as your student adjusts to living on campus. Residence Life staff will also share how they create an engaging, educational environment that supports student growth beyond the classroom—helping students get involved, build community, and make the most of their on-campus experience.
This session, hosted by Residence Life staff, will give an overview of Residence Hall move-in and cover all the information you need to know for a smooth move-in day.
